The Nebrasks Medical Center Hyperbaric Medicine Center

The Hyperbaric Medicine Center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is staffed on an “on call” basis after regular business hours. The center is located on The Nebraska Medical Center campus on the 9th floor of Clarkson Tower.

Patients arriving for their first treatments, it is necessary to register at Access Service located on the first floor of Clarkson Tower. Information must be obtained by this department, regardless of previous hospitalization. For all subsequent visits patients may visit the Hyperbaric Medicine Center directly. Enter Clarkson Tower and take Elevator D to the 9th floor. Check-in is at least 15 minutes prior to appointment time with the receptionist.

Lon W. Keim, MD earned degrees in pharmacy and medicine at the Medical College of Virginia, Dr. Keim completed postgraduate residencies in internal medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City and the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond. He also completed subspecialty training in pulmonary disease and critical care at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Dr. Keim joined Internal Medicine Associates and the Clarkson Hospital staff in 1976. He helped establish the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Department at The Nebraska Medical Center and continues to serve as its medical director. In addition to his busy office and hospital practice, he serves at a number of outreach pulmonary clinics in Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri.
